PATCH NOTES #3 - Budokai and BIDs
Budokai 2v2, UI scaling, new areas, class balance changes, and more!
Interface & Controls
- UI Scaling — Added support for adjusting the interface scale, especially recommended for 4K screens.
- Login Screen — Replaced the login screen with the retail version.
- Mascot Quickslot — Added a dedicated quickslot for mascot skills, following the latest retail concept.
- Mailbox — Added a “Select All” checkbox to make selecting and deleting multiple messages easier.
- Flight Controls — Added double-tap Shift support for boosted flight.
- Ally Support During Combat — You can now buff or heal teammates while attacking a monster without fully switching away from your combat target.
Budokai
- 2v2 Mode — Implemented Budokai 2v2.
- 5vs5 Mode goes now to RO8 after prelims. Designed a new tournament layout for it:
- Spectator View — Added Budokai spectator functionality.
- Spectator Billboard — Added an informative billboard in the hub for spectating Budokai.
World & Exploration
- Hoipoi Entrance — Added a Hoipoi entrance in the hub, with a level 49 quest given by Hanah.
- BID Island — Added a new small island for BID.
Character Appearance
- Super Saiyan Hair Male— Some of the new hairstyles added to DBO Omega now have proper Super Saiyan versions. (Human Female hairs will be added in a Minor Patch Notes)
- Female will follow in some days
Namek Warrior
- Level-Up Stats — Changed stat gains per level from 2 STR / 3 SOUL to 3 STR / 2 SOUL.
- Charging Fist — Changed damage from a fixed value to percentage-based damage.
Dark Warrior
- Demon Soul — Changed Energy Damage from a fixed value to percentage-based damage.
Swordsman
- Flash Slash — Its penetration now makes the damage calculation consider only 50% of the enemy's defense.
Crane Hermit
- Fiery Shout — Changed status damage from a fixed value to percentage-based damage.
Super Saiyan & EP
- EP Drain — Super Saiyan EP drain is now capped at 300 to prevent excessive drain at very high EP values.
- Offensive Bonuses — Reduced the Super Saiyan offense bonus from 40% to 30%.
- Movement Speed — Reduced the Super Saiyan movement speed bonus to 30%. Both the offense and movement speed bonuses remain above retail's 20%.
- Class EP Adjustment — Reduced EP across all classes to lessen the impact of percentage-based transformation drain. EP values remain higher than in retail.
Kaioken
- Stacking Bonuses — Each Kaioken use now increases attack, attack speed, and movement speed by 5% instead of 10%.
- Critical Rate — Kaioken no longer increases critical rate.
General Combat
- Damage Prevention Skills — These buffs now also prevent incoming critical hits while active.
Items & Rewards
- Excellent Dogi Ball — Reduced the minimum required level from 30 to 29.
- TMQ1 Rewards — Slightly increased the number of reward shards.
- Sky Dungeon Drops — Sky Dungeon bosses now drop materials.
Skills & Combat
- Status Damage — Corrected the status damage calculation.
- Transformation RP Cooldown — Fixed RP cooldown behavior on transformations such as Kaioken.
- Great Namek Duration — Transformation duration now correctly accounts for the passive skill that extends it.
- Dragon Buffs — Dragon Buffs should now remain active after relogging.
- Stuck RP — Fixed an issue where RP could become stuck.
- Crafted Dogi Visibility — Applied a fix so crafted Dogis should be visible to other players. Verification is still pending.
Budokai
- Kid Budokai Registration — Registering through the Party Matching list now correctly checks the Kid Budokai level requirement.
- Preliminary Interface — Fixed a visual issue in the Budokai preliminary-round interface.
- Magazine Item — Corrected the Magazine item so its effect should no longer carry over into Budokai.
Dungeons & DWC
- TMQ Cinematics — Fixed a black screen caused by pressing ESC too quickly during a TMQ cinematic.
- DWC Loading Screens — The correct loading screens should now appear when entering DWC.
- DWC Followers — Turtle and Bulma should now continue following you after being attacked.
- DWC Coins — Corrected coin reward amounts and compensated players for missing coins.
- Dungeon Quest Indicators — Fixed quest indicators inside dungeons.
- CCBD Rings — Fixed several ring stacking issues.
- Buffs When Entering Dungeons — Applied a fix so your own buffs should no longer be cleared when entering a dungeon. Verification is still pending.
Quests & World
- Quest Monsters on the Minimap — Quest markers should now appear for all relevant monsters carrying quest items.
- Pet NPC Teleport — Teleportation should now also work between different planets.
Achievements
- Engineer Super Saiyan — Fixed an issue where the Super Saiyan achievement did not unlock for Engineers.
- Map Revealers — Fixed a bug affecting the map revealer achievement.
- Daily Achievements — Daily achievements should now display correctly after changing channels.
Movement, Vehicles & Mascots
- Flying Vehicle Summoning — Fixed an issue that prevented a flying vehicle from being summoned again after a monster attacked the player.
- Mascot VP & Food — Fixed several bugs affecting mascot VP and food.
Interface & Notifications
- Minimap Visibility — Fixed a visual glitch when hiding the minimap using its keyboard shortcut while the Dragon Ball Radar was active.
- Stream Notifications — Fixed a repeated stream-change notification that appeared even when nothing had changed.
Budokai Rules & Brackets
- Party Registration — Party Budokai now accepts teams with 4 members, instead of requiring 5.
- Round of 8 — Added new RO8 brackets. After the preliminaries, qualifying parties now advance to the Round of 8 instead of the Round of 16, as intended.
Dragon Ball Hunt
- Monster Levels — Adjusted Dragon Ball Hunt monsters so their levels are closer to the player's level.
- Movement Synchronization — Improved movement synchronization between players to reduce abrupt position corrections and visible snapping.
- Sky Dungeon 2 — Exiting the dungeon should no longer disconnect the player.
- Reconnection Cleanup — Applied a further fix to clean up stale connections that could prevent players from reconnecting.
- Channels 3 & 4 — Applied changes intended to reduce disconnections. We are monitoring the results and welcome feedback.
- Clearer Naming — Adjusted translations to reduce confusion. For example, “TMQ1-2” is now labeled “TMQ2”.
The following fixes still require confirmation through testing. Please report any recurrence.
- Connection Stability — Reconnection issues and disconnections on Channels 3 and 4 remain under observation following the latest fixes.
