Hello team,
I would like to share some suggestions focused on improving the overall game experience, mainly in PvP (Budokai) and PvE modes. The goal of these ideas is to increase gameplay diversity, improve balance, and create more competitive and lasting content for the community, all before the official launch.
PvP – Budokai
Current problems on all servers, I hope they don't repeat themselves here...
Currently, some problems end up making PvP repetitive and lacking variety:
Players frequently end up in the same brackets. Matchmaking with little randomness. Very strong players always end up on the same side. Meta excessively focused on speed. Little diversity of competitive builds.
Suggestion 1 – Improve the Bracket System
Objective
To make Budokai fairer, more competitive, and more varied.
Suggestion
Implement a controlled randomness system:
Prevent players from always falling into the same brackets. Distribute strong players more evenly. Consider ranking or recent history.
Benefits: More variety in matches. Better competitive experience. Less predictable tournaments. Perhaps some replay-related system with forum/YouTube voting to engage the community.
Suggestion 2 – Reduce Repetition of Matches
Problem
The same players end up facing each other constantly.
Suggestion
The matchmaking could consider the recent history of matches to avoid frequent repetitions. Expected Outcome: More dynamic PvP
More diverse opponents
Better experience for all players
Improve Budokai rewards significantly, as all servers are similar, making them truly useful, perhaps with really strong equipment, something that will actually make players want to play.
Suggestion 3 – Meta Balancing (Speed Dominant)
Problem:
Currently, builds focused on Speed dominate a large part of PvP.
Suggestions: Apply diminishing returns (DR) to Speed. Create incentives for other build styles: Tank
Control (CC)
Burst / Heavy Damage
Sustain
Benefits: More diversity between classes. Greater strategic depth. Healthier and more balanced meta.
PvE – Weekly and Endgame Content
Weekly Boss System
Add a weekly system with rotating bosses.
Functioning
Each week → 1 different boss
Weekly entry limit
Examples
Week 1 → Fire area
Week 2 → Ice mechanics
Week 3 → Electric arena
Week 4 → Boss with summons or extra phases (I don't know something like that hahaha...)
Benefits
Avoids repetition
Encourages weekly participation
Creates a sense of live content
Weekly PvE Ranking
Create rankings based on:
Completion time
Total damage
Party performance
Runs without deaths
Ranking by class
Something like this will be amazing and will keep many players engaged.
Rewards
To increase competitive engagement:
Exclusive titles
Themed cosmetics
Auras and visual effects
Seasonal rewards
Top Players Ranking
This would help transform PvE into Competitive and lasting content.
- Additional Reference
Some ideas inspired by modern PvE systems:
Dungeons with real mechanics (not just DPS)
Need for group strategy
Bosses with multiple phases
Different difficulty levels
Scalable endgame content
These changes could significantly help the game to:
Reduce repetition
Improve balance
Increase competitiveness
Encourage more community participation
Create lasting endgame content
Improve the diversity of builds and strategies
Thank you for your attention and I hope these suggestions can contribute to the evolution of the game and the community.
Thank you!
